A lot of people at my school have been sick lately and I think someone passed it on to me. On Wednesday it was the worst and I was sneezing every few seconds and I felt horrible, Thursday it cleared up a little bit and today it is the same. This will sound gross but I feel there is mucus or something in the back of my throat, and there is a horrible smell in my nose. I am also blowing a disgusting yellow snot out of my nose that smells like the smell that is in my throat/nose. What should I do.?Health Question & Answer

Your mucous is overproducing and thickening in order to clear out and block seasonal allergens that are entering your nose and mouth...this happens to me, also. Start taking some Benadryl or Claritin..not Claritin D..just Claritin daily and see if that helps..if not, you maybe have to have your Dr. prescribe you something stronger. also see your Dr. if you start having pain in your sinus cavities or blood in the mucous or bad headaches..because the overproduction of mucous could turn into a sinus infection if not treated.Health Question & Answer
That's exactly how I feel right now also. I'm trying chicken noodle soup, a few advil cold and flu because I feel stuffed up and I had a hot good smelling bubble bath to relax my sore muscles and get that scent out of my nose for a bit... lolHealth Question & Answer
sounds like a sinus infection. get yourself to a doctor for some antibiotics before it gets worse, and in the meantime take something like tylenol cold and sinus.Health Question & Answer
Lots of water. Chicken soup - seriously! Sleep at least 1 extra hour a day, take a nap if you can. If you are running a fever, go to the doctor.
