It sounds like you are underweight, which can cause some of the physical symptoms of anorexia, ie the results, without the psychological component. You may have some type of metabolic or endocrine problem. The thing about the fine hairs and stuff is that you may be showing signs of malnutrition that will cause problems with your teeth, bones and hair later or cause your periods to stop due to being underweight, so those are things you would probably want to take care of so that you don't have problems down the road. If you have a trusted and competent doctor, I would check in for an appointment. If your doctor is kind of an idiot or dismissive (just reality for a lot of us unfortunately), I would do lots of research first and then go to the doc prepared with ideas so he doesn't miss anything. You know yourself and spend more time with yourself so it's always good to be prepared because many docs just don't make the time or do the research to take proper care until it's too late. also if it is an overactive thyroid, that can lead to problems down the road with underactive thyroid years from now, so it's good to have that tested. Maybe you are just a small person. It could be the reverse with obesity. some people weigh a lot but they eat very normally but just have a slow metabolism but everything else is healthy. As long as you are eating and not purposefully starving yourself or throwing up.........you're normal!Health Question & Answer

I agree with the first person, you may have a thyroid issue. Health Question & Answer

You might have a thyroid problem, see a doctor!Health Question & Answer
