Yes I have heard this also, you can even buy litmus kits to test to see if your body is acidic or alkaline. Some health food stores sell tea that is supposed to make your body alkaline, it's about $6.50 for 20 tea bags. Cancer happens when normal cells change so that they grow in an uncontrolled way. This uncontrolled growth causes a tumour to form.
No foods change the acidity of anything in your body except your urine. Your stomach is so acidic that no food can change its acidity. Anyone who tells you that certain foods make your stomach or blood less or more acidic does not understand nutrition

Ya know someone told me the same thing and got down my throat about my diet. Cancer may thrive better in the acidic environment but I don't believe we have cancer because of it.
