I had a magnetic name tag and a friend told me not to place it on the lest side.
I searched a little and found that it is fatal for heart patients with implantable defibrillators or pacemaker implants.
Is it true also dangerous for normal persons.

It is not dangerous at all! Only for people with defibrillator or pacemakers like you stated because the magnetic field can discharge the batteries or inter-fear with it's function.
