Hi Katie

My medication was changed last March and at first I noticed a huge improvement, then it seemed to taper off. Now I am seeing changes for the better but in small steps. I still have my down days and when I do, they're pretty bad. They pass though and I know that they will. Hanging onto that knowledge gets me through the rough times.

Changing your medications now will really be a stumbling block that could easily set you back before it brings any genuine progress. Of course, you should never adapt your medication without consulting your doctor.

Honestly though I feel you should give this more time. It has taken me 7 months to come to a point where I am really seeing tangible lifestyle improvements but sometimes that's just how it happens. The chemicals need to build up in your body before the really good point arrives.

Until then, hang on and know that positive things are coming. When in doubt, talk to your doctor and maybe invest in seeing a counsellor who can help you with coping strategies for the hard times.

Health Question & Answer

Hi,

Relief from 'Bipolar' syndrome is a slow process and by ur expression I feel you are on the right path of recovery.

Do not change your doctor and follow his / her advise only.

Your well wishers can play a major role to support your recovery

hence, please take your well-wishers to your doctor so that he / she can explain them how to provide good rehabilitation to you that would help in speedier recovery.Health Question & Answer
