Can a bacterial infection in my sinuses be contagious?!


Question: Can a bacterial infection in my sinuses be contagious.?
I'd been having terrible headaches for over a month so finally I went to a dr. and he said I had a bacterial infection and URI from a cold I never got over.

Am I contagious.?

He gave me Astelin, Loratadine, and Cefprozil.Health Question & Answer

Yes, bacteria can be transmited from one person to another...but as long as you don't sneeze on anyone/contaminate them with your nose secretions in any other way, you're probably not going to transmit your infection.

It should also be noted that some bacterial infections are more infectious than others and therefore more contagious.
