I moved into a big old house, over 100 years old. It has old fashioned radiant heating system, the basement smell musty to me all the time (even with the dehumidifier. Part of the basement is dirt crawlspace.
Anyway, ever since I moved in I've had symptoms get progressively worse. I wake up every morning stuffy, achy, sluggish, water eyes, puffy face. I have tested allergic to mold primarily and dust mites. This house is just so big, I don't know where to start and I'm tired of feeling like crap most of the time. One solution is to add a few drops of essential oils to a spray bottle filled with water and "mist" the whole house. Lemon, grapefruit or any citrus scent will make the house feel fresher but you have to repeat often. The mist will catch airborne particles and drop them to the floor where they can be vacuumed up.
