Should I call my allergy doctor?!

Question: Should I call my allergy doctor.?
I went to see an allergy doctor(What's the proper name.?) last June to see what I was allergic to. He gave me some pills and a spray when I have an allergic reaction(usually not until October to December).

Well I have a really bad sore throat, it hurts to swallow and I'm cold. My nose is clear because I've been using Nasonex since June.

Should I call him and ask him if I should use the spray used for stuffy or runny nose anyway.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
typically allergy medicines are not appropriate for acute infections. you didn't say what the other spray was but if it was astelin that wont help your sore throat and it might dry you out and make you feel worse. I would suggest starting with your family doctor, as this will likely be a self limiting process. and the name of the allergy specialist is 'allergist"Health Question & Answer
