How long does it take for eczema to go away?!

Question: How long does it take for eczema to go away.?
I just moved to england and ive been getting a tiny bit of eczema around my eyes. Its not like too serious; like i dont itch it or anything. and today i went to the doctors and they told me to have this pill 3 times a day; and they gave me this special cream to put on 3 times a day and its suppose to smooth your skin and make it softer. Its just an allergic reaction; so do you think it will be gone by monday.?.? How long do you think.?.?.?

I think there are loads of different types of eczema. Ive had eczema for 18 years (since i was born). Mine doesn't go away its like the ultimate irritation. I think mine is pretty untreatable. Ive had probably 1000's of pounds worth of treatment off the NHS from oilatum to zinc bandages and nothing. I've pretty much given up on it tbh. I really pray that someone somewhere will find a cure as its mainly on my legs and sometimes it hurts so much i can barely walk. I think mine is atopic eczema as my father has it as well so it would be passed down. Only problem is its supposed to clear up by age of 16 guess im one of unlucky ones.

Though for you it sounds pretty minor i would be surprised if it doesn't go away especially if its just a problem which has occured recently. This site might help you more if you haven't seen it. Has alot of information. You could probably find other stuff on the net aswell.Health Question & Answer

Eczema does not go away and stay away - it recurs constantly with no pattern necessarily.
That being said - I have had the type you mention at the side of my eyes for many years - it just crops up from time to time - mainly when I have not been taking care of my skin or when I am stressed.
Never thought of it as an allergy though.Health Question & Answer

Eczema just reveals itself on the skin. But the disease is inside itself.
Finally I've found the herbal line that treat eczema from inside out.
I used serenaskin ointment and spray for the skin and anti-eczema extract. It's all natural, no steroids. This stuff controls my eczema greatly.

It depends what's triggering it. Anti-cortisone creams will get rid of the symptoms but you can't go on taking them for ever (they'll cause worse problems). It might be the chlorine in English water. Try washing your face with bottled water and if that works get a filter jug.Health Question & Answer
