HIV from Deep open mouth Kissing?!

Question: HIV from Deep open mouth Kissing.?
Hi everybody;

A few weeks back I had an encounter with a casual partner. we weren't engaged in any kind of sex at all. The only thing we were engaged in were few Deep open mouth kisses. At that time I had sore and split lips because of the cold weather and my partner had split lips too. I don't know the HIV status of my partner and we never met after that. I got tested at week 3 , 8 and 11 which all came negative!.

Can anyone please tell me that was I at risk of HIV infection if my Partner was HIV Positive.?

ThanksHealth Question & Answer

Answers:
First of all, your negative test at 11 weeks is an indicator that you are not infected. You do not have HIV.

Second of all, you cannot contract HIV from kissing, even if you have sores, split lips, etc... There is no risk. It never happened and you are not going to be the first one.

Move on with your life, no further testing is required and they will be waste of time and money. All the future tests will be negative if you do not have any other risky exposures.Health Question & Answer

You can't get HIV from kissing. And with 3 negative test results you are well on the way to having this backed up. HIV usually shows up in a test 90% of the time in the first 4 weeks, and you have been tested at 11 week. Don't worry at all.Health Question & Answer

No, you can't get it from kissing.Health Question & Answer

Yes, you can get it from kissing, when it's a case like yous. You must have an open sore, and so must your partner. HIV is transmitted through body fluids passed from one person to another. The one who is infected must have an outlet of some sort to pass the virus, and the other must have a way to receive the virus, such as a sore, split lip, scratch ect.. So while kissing is not generally how it is spread, and you would normally be at no risk, bet due to the sores, and split lips you became at risk. I don't mean to give you all bad news, but the virus can be in your body for up to 8 years with no signs, symptoms, and negative test results. While I was engaging in risky behavior, I was tested every six months, and once I settled down and got married, I continued to have the test every six months for the next five years. Good Luck!!!!
