i just thought i'd say im mexican and have brown skin, but sometimes like today my fingers seem to turn white. theres no pain or anything, and im not cold, but they just lose color it seems. my finger nails remain the pink color but the fingers turn white. whyHealth Question & Answer

I know that cardiac problems can cause that to happen because not enough blood gets to the extremities of your body sometimes and that causes a pale color. I'm not sure if it could have a relation to lupus. You can find accurate medical information from the Center for Disease Control or Mayo Clinic websites..just search them. it sounds to me like you have renauds syndrome. this is a very serious condition and when left untreated you can lose your fingers, toes, and even possibly your whole hands. if you let it get to the point where your fingers are going white, then you have let it go too far. you need to see a doc asap. this is caused by a shrinking of the blood vessels in your body. the blood vessels begin to die off.
