I have a problem with my pores.?!
Question: I have a problem with my pores..?
I have two separate problems that I am wondering if maybe they are related. The first:
My pores, mostly on my nose and chin, but also on the inner biceps of my arm facing my side and arm pit, are very large. You can easily see them when you aren't too close. If you apply pressure on either side of the pore, a type of substance comes out of them. It doesn't squirt out so much as it pushes out in one long string. Sometimes it is a long thin string, and sometimes is a fat oily string. Usually on my inner arms it does squirt though, is white, and runny. No matter how much I pinch out, it takes forever to empty a pore. When one does empty, the next day and sometimes even just a few minutes later it has more inside it. It is a white substance, soft but not watery, sometimes yellowish hue, and is oily like swiss cheese left out on paper. I can press either side of my nose and if i push hard enough, each pore will let out the substance all at once.
The second problem:
Many of my hair follicles have more than one hair growing in them, sometimes four or five even. Oftentimes I can pull the entire hair follicle contents from the follicle, and have all the hairs and their roots and the wihte gunk at the end of them. Sometimes after i pull them out they also contain the white substance aformentioned. The white substance is not to be confused with a white head bulb that you pop out, this is a long stream. More times than not, the hair just comes out with no hesitance, as if it is just sitting in the follicle. This is not everywhere, just here and there. I am a very clean person, I shower and bathe regularly, and I have tried all kinds of things for these problems and can not seem to find a solution. Has anyone had this problem and has some advice.? You should try a couple of things:
First- on your nose and chin- use pore cleansing strips by Biore. You can pick them up at Walgreen's, Target or Wal-Mart. You want the combo pack- which has nose strips and face strips.
These are strips that you moisten and then apply to your PRE-CLEANED nose/chin area. They dry and cling onto dirt, oil and blackheads. After it is dry, you peel it off and it clean out your pores.
They work really well, as my pore get semi-clogged from time-to-time.
Secondly- for your ingrown hairs- you should try to use a goodexfoliatingg scrub. These come in many different varieties but I would recommend with Neutrogena or Nivea For Men. As long as they have micro-beads or some sort of scrubber. This will help to prevent the hair from becoming ingrown in the first place and will clean out the hair follicles that are already ingrown.
