What happens when you get your period during a herpes outbreak?!

Question: What happens when you get your period during a herpes outbreak.?
This is my first outbreak, and I'm already freaked and scared and in a ton of pain. I'm on the pill, so I know that this coming up Saturday I'll get my period. I've had this outbreak since maybe last Saturday (Oct. 25th) and I've read that the first one (and maybe others ) can last up to three weeks...I use tampons, but it already hurts enough just to walk and sit...but I'm worried that wearing a pad would "suffocate" and irritate the blisters, if you're apparently supposed to keep them dry. And it already burns to pee, will blood be worse.? I'm just nervous and scared and don't know what to expect and my doctor hasn't returned my calls...
Thanks..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You should soak in a warm tub with some aveeno. That will help. You may also find it less painful to pee under water right now too. Aveeno is recommended for chicken pox treatment, just follow the directions. The key for aveeno is that it will help dry out the sores sooner, which is key to the discomfort and pain going away. I don't think that blood itself will be painful.

You don't mention if you are on any medication, I hope you are. also, be sure to take at least 5,000 or 6,000 units of L-Lysine per day.until the symptoms are gone. Additionally, you can take 1,000 mg lysine daily to help prevent future outbreak
