How much sugar should one eat to become a diabetic?!

Question: How much sugar should one eat to become a diabetic.?
Answers:
Eating sugar does not cause diabetes. Diabetes is caused by a combination of inherited and lifestyle factors. However, eating a diet high in fat and sugar can cause you to become overweight. Being overweight increases your risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, so if you have a history of diabetes in your family, a healthy diet and regular exercise are recommended to control your weight.Health Question & Answer

I think you do not quite understand how diabetes work. You don't eat sugar to become diabetic. Diabetes occurs in someone when their pancreas's doesn't have the ability to produce insulin or only has the ability to produce very little insulin. Insulin is what controls your sugar levels. For example let's say someone who is not diabetic consumes a piece of bread (bread has carbs that once ate produce sugar in the body) their pancreas's then produces insulin to bring their sugar levels down to normal. However in someone who is diabetic, their body doesn't produce insulin so therefore it must be injected into them. Once insulin is administrated, it then brings a diabetics sugar levels down, however the pancreas is unable to tell the body when to make the insulin stop that is why it must be monitored. Health Question & Answer

By consuming sugar you do not BECOME a diabetic, becoming a diabetic relies completely on weather or not your pancreas is functioning properly and producing enough insulin however, eating to much sugar can make you over weight and help contribute to it some people may eat TONS of sugar and not become a diabetic while others may only eat a little bit of sugar and become a diabetic it all depends on the person also family history of diabetes can contribute to it i hope this was helpful. And yes by the way you phrased the question it seems like you want to be a diabetic, trust me you dont want to be a diabetic.Health Question & Answer

This is a very strange question! If I understand the question, it appears you wish to become a diabetic. If correct, you do NOT want diabetes! If I have misunderstood the question, it is not a matter of how much sugar one consumes, it is whether your pancreas is functioning properly. Some can consume huge amounts of sugar and not become diabetic while others may consume a small amount with deficient insulin production from their pancreas and become diabetic. Heredity also can be a factor in who does and does not become diabetic. If there is diabetes on you maternal or paternal sides, you may wish have blood glucose tests at least twice a year and as you get older, more frequently. If you feel you are at risk, I urge you to get tested...you do not want diabetes if you can possibly prevent it!Health Question & Answer
