My girlfriend and i have recently stopped using condoms during sex. After a couple or weeks the skin on my penis under the head an near the base got really dry. Near the base its fairly itchy and during and after sex can sting quite a bit. I've been using Vaseline petroleum jelly and this gold bond sensitive skin lotion. It been two weeks now and its still fairly dry. Is their any product that will dry it up complety.?Health Question & Answer

It's just dry skin. Stop having so much sex! Heh. Since your penis isn't used to the friction it can get dry and irritated when you switch to bareback from a condom. It's like getting finger callouses for guitar players. Limit sex until you let your skin heal for a bit (3-4 days, throw some lotion on it.) When it heals up, the skin should be stronger and more able to take the abuse. If you try to keep having sex it won't heal and it will nag you for awhile.

you are describing the symptoms of eczema. try hydrocortisone 10 or 15 its an over the counter cream that costs like 5 or so bucks. if that doesnt clear it up then go to a dermatologist. i know its embarrasing but if its something else then might as well get better quicker.Health Question & Answer
