What does a coated tongue indicate when you have a cold? ?!
Question: What does a coated tongue indicate when you have a cold.? .?
It is an indication of bacteria overgrowth in your mouth. If you have other symptoms to go with it like swollen tonsils with white spots on them, a sore throat, fever, headache, etc. it could mean strep throat. If not, you are probably fine, but if I were you I would go to see my doctor to be on the safe side. It also wouldn't hurt to gargle with Listerine to kill the bacteria on your tongue before it spreads and becomes a cold or worse.Health Question & Answer
