Colonoscopy Prep Time?!

Question: Colonoscopy Prep Time.?

I'm getting ready for my colonoscopy and will start the "fun" tomorrow. After I drink the magnesium citrate, how long will I be in the bathroom.? The doc office said to start this at 6pm. Does that mean an all nighter in the bathroom.?

It really depends on the person and their condition(IBS, colitis, normal, etc), and the prep they take.
Are you doing the liquid diet today.? I did 2 days of liquid diet personally.
Personally I wouldn't plan to do to much other than hang near the bathroom and find a good book or something to keep you distracted...Health Question & Answer

Depends. I was so afraid for my 80 year old Mother. It took hours for it to work on her. She never had cramping or pain and had an excellent clean out. Me, it took effect right away, many trips to the bathroom. Much liquid after all the normal stuff was cleared out. Not nearly as painfull as I expected and had a good result. Please follow the instructions as a poor result give you ambiguous results in your exam and you don't want to repeat it.Health Question & Answer
