Can I take some NyQuil while taking antibiotics?!


Question: Can I take some NyQuil while taking antibiotics.?
The antibiotic is called Doxycycline(for bacterial infections). I just took it less than an hour ago. Can I take some NyQuil too.?Health Question & Answer

Yes, absolutely. Nyquil has a pain reliever, a cough suppressant and a antihistamine. The antihistamine component is what can make you sleepy. None of these ingredients will interfere with your antibiotic. BUT...don't take another Tylenol containing (AKA acetaminophen) product when you take Nyquil. That would too high a dose!
