Can deprivation of something cause an allergic reaction?!

Question: Can deprivation of something cause an allergic reaction.?
For as long as I can remember, I've always eaten at least one apple every day. On the few days I haven't, I've gotten what seems like allergies. As soon as I ate an apple one one day that that happened, I was feeling better.
Is it possible that I am allergic to not having apples, or is it like my body has formed an addiction.? Or am I being really stupid and this is just a coincidence.?

Answers:
Tia: Allergy is caused by a defect in the human immune system whereby harmless, benign proteins are mis-identified by the immune system as germs or other microbes. What happens is upon exposure, the body creates a specific human immunoglobulin (IgE) for that protein. Upon subsequent exposures, that protein causes the IgE to get the mast cells all excited and produce histamine. The histamine causes the symptoms of allergy. So, now that you know how it works, you see that the absence of something cannot cause an allergic reaction.
Now as to why you don't feel good on the days you don't eat apples, there is a reason they say that an apple a day keeps the doctor away..apples contain fiber and flavinoids that keep us healthy. So keep on munching your way to health with those applesHealth Question & Answer
