Question: Are there any other std/infection besides herpes that cause itching around the genitals.?
Answers:
hpv(genital warts), Lympherum venerum, corpus molluscum, trich, and sometimes jock itch and or yeast infections. If you having itching issues in your genitallia try first treating with hydro cortosine if you really are trying to avoid the doctor. the only real way to know though is to go to the doctor. But sometimes itching after intercourse can be normal. Small tears can occur there and they can cause itching problems. also you have to take into account the incubation period of sti's the quickest incubating one being herpes taking 3-7 days to incubate one month if your immune system is really good. We all worry about stds but sometimes worrying about it can be the worst. You can develop sexual neropathy which can cause your genitalia to devolop completely natural yet unattractive discolorations, bumps and so on and so forth. The key to being sure though is to get tested as often as you are comfortable doing i recommend every 3-6 months just to be safe if you are a little more permiscuious than others. Trust me though you will know sooner or later that you do have an std.Health Question & Answer
