I have had a cough for a few days. It just feels like I have something tickling my windpipe. Only when I breathe out does it bother me. It gets worse at night, so I have trouble falling asleep. Now Ive been coughing while sleeping and it wakes me up and I cough for a few minutes at a time then go back to sleep and it repeats like this all night. Ive been drinking water to see if that will help but it doesnt. I have no other symptoms, just coughing. Any Ideas.? I cant take cough medicine because it interferes with my blood pressure medicineHealth Question & Answer

Boil water then breathe in the steam that should clear the congestion.. also drink tea with honey & be sure to elevate your head when sleeping.
If you have high blood pressure some meds for that cause terrible coughing so call your Dr & he may change your rx..

If not, how about some hot tea that is non caffeinated, with some honey lemon.?

Take one teaspoon of pure honey, and add a pinch of grounded white pepper. Regular usage of this 2-3 times a day for 4-5 days. This is one of the most important home remedies for a cough.
Cough natural treatment: boil 5 garlic cloves in 2 cups of water; take the cloves out and drink up the warm water. (SOUNDS SICK)
Eat fresh and dried apricots.
Drink grapefruit juice mixed with a teaspoon of honey.
Drink a lot of herbal tea: Thyme/ Salvia/ Hyssop/ Fennel/ Eucalyptus/ peppermint.
Pour 1 cup of boiling water on 1 teaspoon of Marjoram, wait for 5-10 minutes and drink. Repeat 3 times daily.
