he took three pills this morning and did a treatment with his mother. Then she dropped him off and he was hacking pretty bad. Then he seemed fine and wants to eat everything and is literally bouncing off the walls and driving me crazy. So I told him to go to the yard and collect some rocks so we can paint them....I guess the cold air wasn't such a good idea because he is coughing worse then he was this morning. I ran some steam in the bathroom and relaxed him till he calmed down (which worked) ...Now he is bouncing off the walls again....HELP !!!!Health Question & Answer

First, you should know what his triggers are. Second, avoid them. Being outdoors is obviously a bad idea at this point. Third, make sure that you know how to effectively administer his medication if he doesn't or can't. Fourth, make sure you know the point when you need to seek emergency medical help. Fifth, you need a recent child CPR certification.
I would make sure that he doesn't get simple sugars. I would also take him to an indoor play area to burn off some steam. Check your local area for areas like that.
