Ask your GP for a Nasal X Ray - I suffered the same misery you describe for years until I had the X Ray at hospital were they discovered that I was suffering from Nasal Polyps which are bag like tissue growths inside the nasal cavity that get larger the longer that they are left and need to be surgically removed so that you can breathe through your nose without obstruction.
The procedure is carried out under general anesthetic and may be painful and unpleasant for a week or so after the op but after that the difference is amazing.Health Question & Answer

Have you tried facial steams.? Either with a machine or putting your head over a bowl of steaming hot water and then a towel over your head (you know, of course, not to touch the water because that would hurt!)

If you have this bunged up feeling and suffer with sinusitis repeatedly then I'd go and see your doctor - they can do something for long term sufferers.Health Question & Answer

If this feeling has been constant for a long time you may need to see a doctor. You may have have so many infections that your sinuses may not have drained completely in the past and may need to be "cleaned out" by the doctor. Hot steamy showers as well as the other recommendations of steam bowls could help. Health Question & Answer

I've had sinus problems forever! What helps me (it's kinda gross but,) a Netti pot. You can get one pretty cheap at a drug store. You fill it with warm water and a saline solution and pour it in your nostrils. Please look it up on the web.
Now when I get a cold I use the pot and it's gone very quickly.
I wonder if you have allergies.?
Hope you find a solution, I know what your going through.Health Question & Answer

i know this sounds REALLY strange...but i f you wash your nose out with a little salt in warm water every morning and evening it should clear it up. but i dont mean a load of salt cos ull just burn your nose...it works.....dont breathe the water tho......em and if u use a good nasal spray with that and steam your face with a few drops of eucalyptus oil in hot water.
You should try the Buteyko method of breathing...im a chronic astmatic and always had a blocked nose until i did this at age 14.....i smelt an orange for the first time when i was 14!!Health Question & Answer

sinusitis needs antibiotics cos it's an infection in your sinuses.
Maybe after the treatment you will feel a lot more better.
You may suffer from enlarged adenoids.

You definitely have to see a doctor. Probably an allergologist/immunologist or an EENT specialist. You may have an allergy you may not be aware of that is causing your clogged nose and sinititus. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
