Question: Cystic acne question..?
I have been having reoccurring lesions, I have been getting one or two on my scalp and one on my shoulder or back for the past year. I went to the doctor today and he says cystic acne. I am unsure because they do not drain and feel hard smaller than a pencil eraser and they last for over a month. I put drawing salve on them and neosporin along with tea tree oil and nothing seems to help. They produce a tough clear scab and do not open but still leave a scar. Any ideas. i think it is cystic acne, you should go on antibiotics and if those don't help accutane, especially since they are scarring. also, you can have the cysts injected with a cortisone solution which will get rid of them almost immediately. Health Question & Answer
Cystic is basically tough, and you should go see a derm. And they'll probably give you accutane considering antibotics don't treat cystic.
