Can anyone who knows about back problems or MRI's explain to me what this all means...and list all the things that are wrong in stupid people language so i can understand it lol. I am just overwhelmed with how much they found. In general what does this mean.? Is this what is causing me so much pain.? do i have a herniated disc.?

6 lumbar type vertebrae are noted with the lower most lumbar vertebra labelled L6 on our study. minimal grade I/IV spondylolisthesis of L6 over S1 is noted.

At level L6-S1 level, grade I/IV spondylolytic spondylolisthesis of L6 over S1 is noted. A small broadbased disc herniation is also present, associated with minor inferior extrusion of the disc material behind the S1 vertebral body. Mild bony hypertrophy of the posterior faucet joints is also noted. The above factors have all contributed to the moderate to marked narrowing of the right and left invertertebral foramina. Mild degenerative changes are also noted at L6-S1, associated with disc space marrowing and decreased signal intensity. Health Question & Answer
