WHOA!!!! Whoa!!! Herpes? ?!

Question: WHOA!!!! Whoa!!! Herpes.? .?
Long story, but my boyfriend and I recently started having sex again after a 4 month break. Like a week ago he looked all scared and said he thinks he has herpes. He showed me what he was talking about and it looked like he had 2 or 3 pimples on his wang. How nice of him to tell me after I had just had sex with him. Anyway, later on the pimple things were gone. Then a couple days later they were back, and then they went away. And there wasn't anything oozing out of them or anything (ah!). Herpes stays for a few weeks doesn't it.? The only thing he can think of is that it could be from hair down there being pulled during sex. Does this make sense.? Does that sound like herpes or no.? The "sores" wouldn't be gone one day and there the next like that, right.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I have never heard them described as looking like pimples. Usually, it's sores that last for a few days.

It could be pimples, it could be ingrown hair, but honestly, you're pregnant. You need to play it safe.

You don't want to risk contracting ANYTHING, let alone herpes which could spread to your baby during childbirth.

I'd make him get it checked out before I touched him again.

Because even condoms aren't effective at preventing the spread of herpes, since they can spread to an area not covered by a condom.Health Question & Answer

A lot of people do confuse pimples or ingrown hair for warts or sores. Not all of them ooze. Some go away quickly, some come and go, some stay awhile. If he has herpes, chances are you are already exposed to them. There are tests that can be done to see if he is a carrier. You may want to get checked too. Health Question & Answer

baby bumper is absolutely right. stop having sex immediately, and don't take any more chances till the baby is born. In the mean time he can get himself checked out.

You should be able to safely resume your normal sex life some time after the newborns 23rd birthday. :-)Health Question & Answer
