Question: C.F.S/ M.E my doctor doesnt beleive i have it.? HELP.?
i need help.. i can't bare this any longer.. i've been back and forth from my doctors many times for all kinds of tests without result over the last three years..and now things are getting worse for me!.. i work fulltime but i am totaly exhausted all the time. i cant do normal things like i used to like washing, cleaning, ironing, shopping and cooking. im in pain and soo tired. i have problems with my bowels, headaches, im weak, cant sleep sometimes then other times i cant get up and sleep for hours at a time. i get dizzy spells and feel like i'm hungry all the time but when i eat i get bloated and have food intolerence. i went to the doctors today and asked about the possibility of having cfs/me.. as a friend of mine told me about it and after reading up on it am sure i have it. my doctor told me it doesnt exist and that there is nothing he can do for me. please where does this leave me.?.. i am so ill all the tme and work is becoming hell instead of the pleasure it once was.Health Question & Answer

I agree with Maz. It has been a 4 yr. nightmare for me. You need a dr. that is willing to go the extra mile and do a battery of test to rule out other conditions. Unfortunately there isn't a test for fibro, CFS/ME. In fact I don't think doctors are sure of what the difference is and those that say they do I'm very skeptical of.

Beware of quacks and fibro centers that claim they can cure you. There is research being done, unfortunately it is very much being ignored. Contact me at monajune2001@yahoo.com I will keep you updated on what I find out. I'm trying to get accepted into research at John Hopkins. Bless you and hang in there. Just another thing, if you can get into some kind of University research hospital that would be your best thing to do, in my opinion. Trust me, you're not alone and I admire you for being able to keep a job during this time. If you are having trouble working then apply for disability, if enough people shout out about this, then maybe they will get past their egos, politics and the drug companies kickbacks and actually try to find the core reason this is happening to children, women and men, and find a cure...not just treatments for all the symptoms. Sorry this is so long, but I'm upset about this. It's unthinkable how these people who have this are being treated. Good luck. M.Health Question & Answer

Make an appointment to see another Doctor, CFS/ME does exist and your doc is probably a very old-fashioned one. Contact the CFS Society to see of they can advise you what to do next.Health Question & Answer

Your story describes only seeing one doctor. Go and get a second opinion from someone else. Some doctors don't believe in CFS and obviously they aren't going to help you, go and see someone else. Health Question & Answer

ok hun when i read your question i thought of a couple of things.if you are stressed about anything you could be having anxitey attacks i mean i know you worrie about your health and with the balloon thing that sounds like something to do with allergies/sinues.i get dizzy feel as though there is something in my head bout to bust.also with stress trust me i know you have bowel problems and you feel weak, feel as though you have pain without no reason.also stress makes you hungry!!also the sleeping all the time thing i do that when i am really depressed and stressed.ok try talking to your doctor about having a little stess or depression and see if he can not help you to find a med.to help you temporary to see if that will help just for a couple of months.Health Question & Answer

Your stuck in a vicious cycle, you work full time and don't eat properly, begin eating wholesome food e.g brown bread, potato, pasta. This leaves you tired and hungry, As you're not eating right you're becoming bloated. And you keep repeating this, try taking a week of work and relax, have a lie in and eat right, try meditation and yoga. If this doen't help see another doctor
