Someone please help me, what could I have?!

Question: Someone please help me, what could I have.?
So I've been coughing for about a week and a half now. The cough is getting worse, but my throat doesn't hurt at all. This makes me believe what is going on is in my lungs. I don't have mucus at all, and if I do it is very little. I had bronchitis before only a few months ago, but this doesn't feel like that. This feels different, as if I'm choking and I need to cough to get air through. I have an inhaler for sport related asthma so I've been using that and if helps for a bit but I'm not improving.
I've taken advil, dayquil, nyquil, albuterol [inhaler] musinex and motrin.. all which have not helped my cough. I'm going to the doctor in 2 days if it doesn't get better but for the time being what could I have.? I do not have a headache or a fever, but my stomach has been bothering me for a little bit if that has anything to do with it.

I cough so much that I can't breathe, and I will have fits of coughing that leave me gasping for air. This is obviously scaring me because I can't breathe, what could it be.? Thanks.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
before anything.... STOP TAKING THINGS THAT DRY YOU OUT!!!! Ex: mucinex. Or anything that may stop your from producing sputum. Coughing stuff out of your lungs is what helps you get over being sick, if you are dried out the infection (ex: bronchitis) stays in your lungs and remains a dry, hacking, cough. You can still go to the doctor and maybe get on some steroids to open your bronchioles. also maybe steaming your bathroom and deep breathing.. Its not good to dry your lungs out, it keeps bad stuff in and can make it hard to breathe. And all the medicine stuff you named aren't cough suppressors, so I would buy an actual cough medicine, use that until you can get to the doctor, but seriously, stop taking stuff that dries you out. Hope it helps! Health Question & Answer
