Question: It is normal to have a little blood in mucas after pneumonia.?
I have been coughing up alot of phlegm since I had pneumonia. Is it normal for a little blood to show up. I am getting this mucas from my sinus so do you think I have a sinus infection.?Health Question & Answer

"A little Blood" is normal in your situation. But lots of bright red blood is not and would require immediate medical attention taking into account your current medical condition. It is common for an upper respiratory infection to start up. It sounds like you are NOT over your pneumonia. Try taking some guaifenesin, it is commonly found in cough medicine but you can buy a bottle of tablet over the counter. It makes your coughs productive and will help you clear things out.
