Hey in Saskatchewan 1 out of 9 women get breast cancer.
I have a friend that recently went in for a recurrence of breast cancer, she was cancer free for a long time. She has only had lumpectomies and some of her lymph nodes removed.
Try to be brave, but it is kind of an embarassing subject.
One of my old relatives has breast cysts and there are all types of different options nowadays and it does not involve long surgical procedures. Be strong babe, at least you have caught it early.
You must be going through all sorts of feelings right now, just remind yourself it is Ok to feel whatever comes naturally to you, don't try to hide any of your true feelings.
Ask your doctor to give you more information regarding your condition so that you are fully prepared for it and what you can do in the mean time to make things better - also ask him/her if there are any support groups out there that you can get in touch with.
The more you talk about this and communicate the better you will feel, even if it is discussing things on here, if you want to email me then feel free to - just keep talking to people and don't hold any feelings in OK.

I don't know how I would have got through those dark days following diagnosis without internet support forums.
