Anyone who can give me the best/most information, Please help I'm Scarred ?!

Question: Anyone who can give me the best/most information, Please help I'm Scarred .?
ok first of all I'm 18 and have a 2 year old daughter, I know i had her young, but that's not what i'm asking about, I recently went to the Gino, and they called me and told me that my cervix had shown some change, so they told me it was either just some inflammation due to and infection or it could be HPV, they want me back in a month to do some test with a microscope i forget what she called it, but its to see the cells and to see what exactly it is, I was just wondering if any one could give me any information about all the strands of the hpv virus, or even websites to point me in the right direction to look it up for myself, I didn't tell my boyfriend this morning because for one i don't know how and for two he is a corrections officer and he doesn't need that kind of distraction at work, I just want more information before i tell him, and so i can at least know what to expect and maybe put my self at some eases, (stuff like how you get it, what all they do, besides the cancer part i already know that, just any other information I would greatly appreciate this) Health Question & Answer

this web site is very informative.
however, please don't panic till you get your test results ready from the test.
when i was 19, dr. found abnormal cells after performing a routine pap exam. what they didn't tell me that the test results can be wrong if i had sex 24-48 hrs before the test was taken ( that's just 1 of the reasons for wrong results). i did biopsy and was told that everything is ok. i am 32 now, have 2 kids and never had an abnormal test since then. ask you doctor about gardasil ( sorry don't remember the correct spelling) injection. also, i want you to know that you get HPV from man. They don't have any symptoms and don't even know they might transfer this to other woman.
good luck to you and please dont worry. this is not the end of the world and i guarantee that you have no cancer.
enjoy your baby-girl.:)Health Question & Answer

I know a LOT more about herpes than I do about HPV, but I know that the website below is very reliable (like the CDC website that has already been mentioned.) Any information up on the WebMD website tends to be quite good, too.

I hope this helps.
Good luck.Health Question & Answer

If you do have HPV you will need to find out if it's the virus that can cause cervical cancer or the virus that causes genital warts. I think they will give you a colposcopy and check that everything is alright. Go to the HPV website and you'll get lots of information. Try not to worry too much as most Hpv viruses clear up on their own. So eat healthy and get lots of vitamin B in your diet and hopefully whatever it is, it will clear up on it's own in time.Health Question & Answer

I f you want more accurate information about HPV just google it or search it on yahoo. HPV is incurable and it is the cause for some cervical cancers. It is sexually transmitted and you can get it even if you wear a condom. HPV is more common than gonorrhea. After your doctor does all the testing necessary he will retest you to make sure the diagnosis is accurate. Good Luck but if you do have HPV me personally don't think it is a disease that would kill you it is more of an irritable disease. Good LuckHealth Question & Answer
