Touching water which has some bloody in the center?!

Question: Touching water which has some bloody in the center.?
So I had to go to a orthodontist. I had to brush my teeth in front of a three-faucet long faucet and there are two other guys doing it as well. I noticed that these two spit had blood in it; the there's blood in parts of the water. The water is also being drained by a faucet to my right. I press my faucet button and water came out and notice that some of the non-blood stained water fell onto my finger; either from my faucet or a overflow of water. My finger had a band aid on it and had a recent small cut that did not bleed.

To be blatant, can you get AIDS from touching non-blood stained water.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
The short answer is NO. You would have to have a gaping wound, in poor health, and known infected blood splashed on you to possible acquire AIDS. It's unfortunate enough to have to share a sink with a stranger, but for them to be splashing blood tinged spit........ew.
You'll be ok.Health Question & Answer

Unless you had some form of cut on your finger, it is unlikely. Even if you did, it is still unlikely. We do need to be concerned about transferring AIDs and other diseases (Hepatitis etc) via bodily fluids, but in this scenario it would be very difficult for a virus to transfer in this condition. Where there is blood, we do need to be cautious, and perhaps you coud mention this to your orthodontist in light of your experience as there may need to be a change of practice at the clinic. Had some of the blood splashed on you, it would be a completely different story. Again, you would have been very unlikely to contract AIDs, but other diseases such as hepatitis can easily spread this way.Health Question & Answer

listen in order to get AIDS you have to first be HIV positive. in order to be HIV positive you have to be infected. it's highly highly unlikely you would get anything considering it takes a substantial amount of the virus to infect you. i was once worried that i could be infected from a needle prick in the dental office but i was informed of how unlikely it could be. breathe easy my friend but if you are worried go get tested. then in 6 months get tested again because that's about how long it takes to show up in your system.Health Question & Answer

it is within the realm of the possible, but it is SO unlikely.
like a billion to one or so.

it usually (not always) takes multiple exposures to contract HIV. at any rate, you would get HIV, not AIDS.Health Question & Answer

no. you're fine. even if the person DID have aids, the chances of it being in the water and getting into your body through a cut that doesn't bleed. YOU'RE FINEHealth Question & Answer

no, of course not. AIDS is transferred by blood-on-blood contact or the transfer of... erm... other... bodily fluids.... so no worries. if you are in fact worried, go to a clinic. they can test you. but you should be fine. :)Health Question & Answer

i think you will be ok but I would get checked any way.
