Gallstones/Gallbladder/Pa... experts...I need advice?!

Question: Gallstones/Gallbladder/Pancrea
Answers:
Pancreatitis is very PAINFUL! Possibly one of the most painful illness there is. I have been told the only more painful process is bone being devoured by cancer. Gallbladder attacks can also be painful. It is very difficult when a person has pancreas issues to eat something that doesn't offend. What worked one day may not work another. I guess the only thing I can say or offer is that you know when your surgery is scheduled. Try to take it easy, as best you can. You might discuss with your physician if you could stay on a clear liquid diet until surgery, most clear liquid diets have no nutritional value, but prevent dehydration. I hope your surgery goes well, and that you have no lasting issues with your pancreas, but keep in mind that once you have had pancreatitis, it doesn't take much to set that organ off. I had chronic pancreatitis for 10 years, and I would not wish that life on anyone. Health Question & Answer
