How do I tell a friend he has a bad breath and how to cure it?!

Question: How do I tell a friend he has a bad breath and how to cure it.?
Answers:
It depends on what the underlying reason is for his halitosis. He may already know about it and not know what to do.
If his breath is acidic, he may have an ulcer or GERD and may need some treatment for that. If it is a bacterial infection or lack or oral hygiene, then a dental cleaning and maybe antibiotic or medical strength mouthwash is what is needed.
If he is actively losing weight, sometimes that can cause bad breath as well (people on the Atkins diet experienced this issue when it was the big fad a few years ago).
Basically, you just want to find a good time when he is in a receptive mood to let him know that you are only telling him that his breath is bad because you care about him and are concerned that his issue is going to affect him socially and even more concerned that there might be an underlying medical condition. He should schedule an appt. with his doctor to talk about it and get an exam. His physician will refer him to a dentist if the problem is of that nature.
Good luck, this is a sensitive, but common issue. You are a really good friend to want to help him with the problem!Health Question & Answer

One day... call his house and breath heavily.
Then... drive to your nearest store and pick up some breath mints or something like that. Drop it off on his doorstep, ring the bell, then.... RUN!! When he opens the door, he will receive it, and get the point. But he won't know you did it.
