My son has weird symptoms. What could it mean?!

Question: My son has weird symptoms. What could it mean.?
I do have a call into the doctor but I was just wondering if anyone has ever had their child complain of similar symptoms...

My son is 8 and has an ear infection. He started antibiotics yesterday and half way through the day he kept saying that when he layed down or stood up he got weak, it felt like all his blood was in his feet, also felt like his head was numb, then everything he say turned red. It only lasted about 20 minutes but wasn't constant that whole time. All the symptoms happened together but only for seconds at a time when he would lay or stand up... Now this morning he says he feels fine except he thinks he bumped his head because he has a spot on the top of his head that hurts only when he touches it.. But he can't remember bumping his head at all he just thinks he must have for it to hurt in that spot that way... Really weird... Just thought I'd ask if anyone had similar things happen with their children like this.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
this could be becuase when you have an ear infection it affects your balance and so this could have affected him it also makes you feel very sick and obviously when you lye down and then suddenly stand up it can affect your balance and leave you feeling sick as he may have some fluid in his ear from the infection. It could also be that hes standing up 2 quickly as this affects your blood pressure and especially if your ill it can take you longer to adjust when standing up (this can affect your vision briefly)
but your doing the right thing by taking him to the doctors who will be able to examine him and give a proper diagnosis
i hope he gets better soon and hopefully ive put your mind at ease gd luckx :-)Health Question & Answer

Not knowing what meds your son is taking but my son had similure symptoms at one time and he was taking a compazine type med and it was causing him trouble so I took him to the hospital where they gave him benedrill I think is how it is spelled to counter act the compazine , and told us to stop the compazine meds and you may want to talk to the doctor to see if your child is having a reaction to the meds he is taking.Health Question & Answer

Ear controls equilibrium and hearing with the laberynth.

If your child feels dizziness and blurred vision, I assume it is due to the infection too. Ask an ear nose throat doctor if the laberynth is affected too.Health Question & Answer

If your son spot on the top of the head doesn't heal that time you have to ask his doctor. What will we in this stiuation.?.?In my opinion , probably this medicine's is symptoms.Yet , your son's doctor will want to give up these medicines if this symptoms continue...Don't worry about it cause of every medicine can create different symptoms. So especially allergy can make this kind of medicines. You and his doctor must to solve together this problem.Actually you always ask this your problems to his son's doctor.May Dr. will prefer the other antibiotic for your son's cure.
