Question: Could this be herpes.?!.?! help me please .?
Today i was eating sushi with my best friend and her sister,
and her sisters friend comes later.
I was eating and my friends sister feeds her friend a bite of sushi
with her chopsticks and after a little while with the same chopsticks
she gives me some too.
i ate because i didnt know she had herpes until later.
i don't know what kind of herpes she exactly had,
but i think she had oral herpes or the one she gets on her genitials. But according to my friend,
it wasnt "active" so i didnt get it. i think i gave her a hug but
i dont think i touched her skin.... well we were looking at clothes
and i touched what she touched after.
and also my friends sister HAD cold sores but now she doesnt.
Im still scared because after i came home i got this
weird bump on my lip and it was white but around it it was red.
i think i had this before but im not sure.
and i took a shower and it kinda went away.
could this be herpes.?.?!

hah you dont have herpes. you cant get it from giving hugs, or touching clothes other people with herpes touched. and if your red bump went away in a matter of hours..it is not herpes. I have oral herpes, i know how to read the signs, and i know how it spreads. and trust me you dont have it. to catch it you would basically have to come into contact with an open sore. it can be contagious when there are no visible symptoms, but there is like a 2% chance if there are no cold sores present. so dont worry yourself, just never ever share anything orally...(toothbrushes, lip gloss, forks, drinks, nothing!) and you have a 100% chance of never getting it.Health Question & Answer
