I had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in a rash? What can I put on it to soothe it?!

Question: I had an allergic reaction to something and broke out in a rash.? What can I put on it to soothe it.?
I've been using Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalizing Gel Body Oil for a good year. Never had problems. I stopped using it for awhile but I started using it again; I usually rub it in after I get out of the shower because I have really bad skin. I tend to put a lot on my breasts, I admit. Then on Thanksgiving day (a couple days after I started using it) I broke out in a fricking rash. I have this horrible rash all over my chest and it's spreading up to my collar bone and outwards towards my shoulders. I used to use it a little bit and it did make me itchy, but I just thought my skin was healing.

It's so itchy! What can I put on it to temporarily soothe it.? I have no aloe or anything. Will ice help.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You need to get some benedryl, cool compresses might help a bit but sound like you have hives. No topical cream or lotion is going to help much.Health Question & Answer

cool compresses and hydro-cortisone cream will absolutely soothe the itching and irritation. Benadryl will also help.Health Question & Answer

use bendryl for a few days as directed -including the cream, keep a food diary, and see an allergist.Health Question & Answer
