Does this sound like Hypoglycemia?!

Question: Does this sound like Hypoglycemia.?
I'm not sure exactly what I have or if I have anything for that matter. But I just need some opinions. I need to eat every about.. 2 hours, if I don't I get dizzy, lightheaded, my heart starts racing fast and if I've never let it go so long that I'd pass out but I know if I didn't get food in me in time I would eventually. And this happens only a few hours after I've eaten, I just ate a full supper 2 and a half hours ago and I'm already starting to feel dizzy. My mom told me it could be Hypoglycemia but I wasnt sure, should I go to the doctor.? Do I have diabetes or something.?

Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
If you need to have food that often - regardless of what you have eaten earlier, then chances are, it's hypoglycemia.

You need to see your doctor yes, but in the meantime, you need to monitor your food, and concentrate on your proteins and fats. Low blood glucose is not 'cured' or dealt with best, by eating sugar. You put yourself on the rollercoaster doing that and you will have an all-day cycle of highs and lows, dizzy and feeling ok, etc.

Have the bulk of your meals and snacks be protein - meats, cheese, egg. The fats and proteins there take longer to burn off and don't cause a serious climb in sugar (because they contain few carbs) that quickly falls later. That's when your symptoms appear. If you combine your protein with the sugar or carbs you eat, things balance out way better.

Control the breads, pasta, rice, sweets. Have them ONLY with proteins.Health Question & Answer
