How to clear inhalers (mouth piece)passage way ?!
Question: How to clear inhalers (mouth piece)passage way .?
I use PROVENTIL HFA (Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Aerosol).
At times the passage way that the mist is pressed & passed via mouth piece to free up my breathing tubes & lungs is stopped up or partially clogged up .
The medical instructions says to rinse mouth piece in warm water. But this is not as effective as needed most times .
Does any one out there know of a more effective way to clean the mouth piece for better & complete oral inhalation of said albuterol aerosol .?Health Question & Answer

The best solution is to rinse it under very hot water in both ends, clean it every other week or more depending on how much you use it. If the one you currently have is clogged badly try letting it sit in hot water for 5 mins then rinsing it again, and when you run out and get a new one just rinse it every so often.
also, after you rinse it, waste one spray to get the water out of the mouthpeice before you inhale it. And if your inhaler just wont work and its an emergency you can try to take the canister and aim the white tube peice in your mouth and use a fingernail or your teeth to push it in and it will spray out.
