Go to the doctor. I know you probably want to know what you can do to remove them, but it's unsafe to do it yourself. Plantar warts are caused by a virus that is highly contagious this includes to yourself. For example, if you burst one of the swollen vessels in the wart (they look like black dots) and you get the blood on another part of your body, you can have growth there too. Plantars (along with other warts) have long roots that if not removed properly can result in another outbreak. also, infections result from home remedies and can lead to complications.Health Question & Answer

i had one on my foot, and i was told by my doctor that the only way to get rid of it was to have it removed. sounds bad but really they just rub some numbing stuff on your foot and carefully cut it out. you dont feel a thing.
if yours are new, maybe you could look up some methods to get of them. i know of some stuff called freeze off or something similar to that that you can supposedly use on plantars warts to freeze them off.
you can buy it at any convenient store or pharmacy.Health Question & Answer

Oh you HAVE to get them treated NOW and with liquid nitrogen. My son has had one for a year and I've gone through a hundred bucks in products to get rid of it and nothing works. We go to a walk in clinic now once a week and they said it will probably take about 3 months but we have to go EACH and every week.

At least they are covered! But that is what you need. Wash them, scrape them and Liquid nitrogen. The storebought stuff didn't do a thing but then we didn't keep at it every week like we should have. It costs about $30.00 if you want to try it yourself but wash it, scrape it and then use the stuff and DO IT every week!

I suggest you use water shoes/thongs any time you are in a public pool and don't walk around barefoot as they are contagious and that's how they are spread.

If you can't afford that and want to try home-made remedies I read where one person said she put a dab of cotton from a qtip dipped in apple cider vinegar on it every two or three days covered that with a bandaid and then remove in the morning and put clear nailpolish on it. Scrape it and repeat.

Other people swear duct tape on it works...I don't know though I can't see why an adhesive would work. I wouldn't use bleach...just cause well it's BLEACH...Health Question & Answer

My sister had one a while back on her foot as well, she had to get it removed by a doctor. Scalpel and liquid nitrogen! She said it hurt like a ***** but that was probably owing to the fact the doctor was a sadistic ******** who didn't use any anesthetic. Needless to say he's no longer a doctor!
Good luck!Health Question & Answer
