I want to ask my dentist about medical marijuana.. My teeth REALLY hurt, and I keep getting hydro codome for it, but I feel like those pills could hurt me.. I live in Colorado, and we have medical marijuana, but im in a small town and no one here has a card, so its hard to ask for what everyone here thinks is a DRUG (bad) bla bla bla........ Would medical Marijuana be right for me.? I have all 4 wisdom teeth needing to be removed, and $3200 dollars worth of other dental work im currently undergoing......Health Question & Answer

Just take the regular pain killers, having wisdom teeth is no excuse to want to be prescribed medical marijuana, that's for people who have severe pain..
If you want marijuana, just buy it, don't get it with such a pathetic excuse..Health Question & Answer

i can understand why you would want this
BUT i don't think any doc in their right mind would prescribe this for you in this situation
otherwise everyone would be complaining about their wisdom teeth
sorry, but i don't think it's going to happenHealth Question & Answer

There is no such thing as "medical" marijuana..
I sorry to hear that you have 4 wisdom teeth that need to be removed.. That is going to hurt.. For a short while.. I had 1 removed.. Novocain worked just fine thank you..

Marijuana, at least what we're told, is for the side effects of chemotherapy.. You know, for cancer patients.. People who may die.. You putting it together here.?

Please take no offense, and this is in no way shape of form a personal attack against you.. But your argument that you need marijuana to ease pain, is the nearly the same argument that used against the use of marijuana It's called "the slippery slope".. And your sliding..Health Question & Answer

There may be different laws in Colorado, but not even sure if a dentist can prescribe this type of drug, since isn't it used for people with chronic pain or cancer.?.? Your pain will go away if you just have your wisdom teeth out.. Taking the hydrocodons I think is also risky since they are highly addictive, and they are not solving your problem, they are just temporarily making it tolerable, and the marijuana will be doing the same thing..

Go have a consult with an oral surgeon (or your dentist if they do wisdom teeth exts) and have the surgury done asap.. The longer you wait the higher the risk for infection or even damage to the teeth around the area..

also, if you do happen to get ahold of marijuana after your surgury...... be very cautious about smoking it, they will recommend not smoking (or sucking through a straw) for at least a few days, since the "sockets" will be healing and you risk removing an blood clotting that has occured, and could lead to very painful "dry socket"Health Question & Answer
