Partial banding for braces?!

Question: Partial banding for braces.?
Ok I went to the orthodontist the other day, and after I finished the lady at the desk told me my next appointment was for partial banding.? What does that mean.? I'm hoping to get my braces off soon, and the computer beside where I get my teeth done says the estimated completion date was in August.. So I was wondering if partial banding was like a thing you do at the end! So what is it.? Thanks!!!Health Question & Answer

I'm sorry, Reed, partial banding sounds like they are adding something to your braces, not taking away.. They may be putting bands on your very last molars (2nd molars).. Take a look and see if you have any teeth left to add bands to.. That does not mean you are not close to getting them off though.. At your next appointment, ask the orthodontist if he or she thinks you will be getting them off soon.. They hear this question many times a day and will not mind answering it if you are doing your part (wearing your rubber bands and brushing your teeth well)..

Good Luck to you!!Health Question & Answer

Partial banding may be getting bands from top to bottom jaw..
But I'm not sure..
Hope you get your braces off soon
