Is it normal to get Ulcer on gum after trauma?!
Question: Is it normal to get Ulcer on gum after trauma.?
My daughter got excited the other day when we were playing peekaboo with the duvet..She headbutted my bottom lip & gum which split my lip open & I also developed a nasty Ulcer just under my tooth on the gum.. I've rinsed with salt water & applied Bonjela but it seems to be hanging round and is really painful..
Is this normal & how to get rid of it.? Thanks,Health Question & Answer

It will take a while to go down - 5 to 14 days, but if it persists for longer than three weeks you need to see a doctor.. Don't eat spicy or food with a hot temperature until it heals.. Stay away from citrus fruits and all acidic foods as they will sting.. Bonjela is the best you can do without a prescription.. What you are doing right now is great.. Yes it is, her immune response may have been slightly lowered, stress and shock can do this..
