I'm getting my teeth cleaned tommorow at the dentist, I'm only 16 never had this done, what can I expect?!

If it's a routine teeth cleaning, it's really nothing to worry about.. :) They poke at your teeth a little with a metal hook, but they avoid the gum so it doesn't hurt.. They also give you some flouride stuff and make you put it in your mouth for a minute, but it's not bad, just odd.. They might also floss for you--I don't remember every single thing they do, but I remember none of it was painful..Health Question & Answer

If this is your first time in for a cleaning, they will probably do x-rays.. A cleaning consists of getting all the plaque off with a scraper, then they polish your teeth using this gritty type of stuff, they rinse it out with water, and floss.. The Hygienist does all this and the actual Dentist just checks out their work, does a couple, "Mmhmm's" and then your done! And they always give you a goody bag to take home with a toothbrush, floss, and your next appointment.. It's not painful, your teeth will love you for it!Health Question & Answer

oh wow well its pretty simple actually and cleanup doesnt hurt so you'll definitely be fine

they take xrays of your teeth of course to see if theres anything wrong with, if theres any cavities

then they start cleaning.. its like brushing your teeth.. even more effective actually

You probably should have gone to the dentist more often.. Tomorrow the dentist will just clean your teeth really well and stuff but if the dentist finds that there are other problems with your teeth he will make you get another appointment to fix those problems..Health Question & Answer
