can anyone advise me on how this is gonna work i mean on getting a plate on the roof of my mouth to fix my overbite they say im gonna have to wear it for 4 to 6 months will it hurt and i already know it will affect my speech for a little while what should i expect has anyone had to do thisHealth Question & Answer

yep, I have that too.. I didn't really even have a lisp or anything, and it doesn't hurt.. The only thing thats annoying and gross is that food sometimes get stuck in it.. But it's not really a big deal, I've already had mine for a year, and I've gotten completely used to it.. Don't worry, it will be fine! :)Health Question & Answer
well, i had braces but i didnt have the plate.. but my friend has them and yes like you said your speech will change and u will often "spray" what ur saying haha but other than that you shouldnt have any other problems..Health Question & Answer
youll be sweet, for the first three days ittl be hard to speak and you might have all be tiny lisp but youll be okay! 4 to 6 months is pretty good..Health Question & Answer
