Answers:
First, they put something in your mouth to keep it open
Then, they dry out your mouth so that your tounge feels strange because it's dry
Then, they put glue on each tooth, which tasts really sour, so you should try to keep your toungue away from that!
Next, they place each bracket individually, and right after that, they shine a blue light on it to make sure it is stuck on
They might shine the light on it again for one more round
They place the wire in between the brackets
You choose a color, and they put it on to each bracket over the wire..
It doesn't hurt getting them on, but it wil hurt about three hours later, and the second night is pretty rough.. Good Luck!

I still have my braces on so I dont know how it feels when they are taken off..
When they put them on, they put this plastic thing in your mouth to keep it open and then I think they dry your teeth so they can put the glue on.. The glue takes a while to harden or w/e so your mouth will be stuck open like that for a while.. Then they put the wire in and a color.. I suggest you get blue, red or black.. They will start hurting either immediately or the day after, depending on how crooked etc.. your teeth are.. It will really hurt to eat, so eat soup or something soft after, not something hard and chewy like steak..

Well, when I got mine on, it was kinda painful because they stick a giant plastic thing in your mouth and it is really uncomfortable.. But I have them off now, and when I got them off, it didn't really hurt..
