I know that they hurt for a few days after you get them, and what you should eat, and that it'll feel like meat in your teeth you'll be wanting to be taking them out ALL the time! But what I want to know is: Do they hurt when getting them in!.? And how does that work.? How DO they put them in.?! Please help!Health Question & Answer

The process of getting them in isn't painful.. It's quite quick.. They use a little plyer looking instrument to shove them between your teeth.. If your teeth are tight, it may take some wiggles back and forth to squeeze them in.. I had eight spacers and they took all of five minutes to put all in.. The soreness afterwards is what's bad.. Getting spacers will take about 10-20 minutes.. They are like doughnut shaped rubber rings which the orthodontist will place between your back teeth.. A bit of pressure thats all..
It feels like you have something stuck in your teeth..
The orthodontist will use a special tool to place them in, i though it wasnt nice when he put them in, once they were put in it was ok.. You can eat normally but it will be a bit tender..

take some headache medicine before going in..
i have had them, a retainer, i have braces, i had a lingual arch...... I've been through it all but headgear.. they hurt for a day or two but if they fall out, the dentist doesn't care! lol..
eat whatever you want..
they just place them in between your teeth.. the people at the dentist/orthodontist know what they are doing.. just try and trust them even if you don't..Health Question & Answer

They are just rubber bands that go around your teeth to make room for the braces.. They don't hurt, but they can be annoying.. Usually they only go in for a couple of weeks..

Yes they will fell weird for a while and hurt at 1st.. You will play with them with your tough for a while and make them even more sore.. But after a few days you will get used to them..Health Question & Answer
