well thats adviced because eating or drinkin will disrupt the film of listerine and it wont be able to act the way it should, if you eat or drink just after its application as it has to place a coat over the tooth surface which has to remain intact for next few mins after its application for the desired action..Health Question & Answer
It just allows some time to let the antibacterial ingredients to work.. It won't completely kill them, but slows down their ability to reproduce.. Believe me, there are plenty still around..Health Question & Answer
