Question: Frenectomy.?.?
Does it hurt.? Do I get stiches.? Do they have to remove the stitches.? Will I put to sleep or frozen.? HELP!!!!!!!Health Question & Answer

This is a VERY simple procedure........easier than you would believe.. You won't be put to sleep but the area will definitely be numbed up........you aren't that immune to pain are you.? Yes, you will have a couple of sutures and, in our office we don't use resorbable ones for this as we want you to come back so we can check the healing.. i am having a labial frenectomy in a week and i am really scared.. for my consultation i blanked out and forgot to ask questions.. does anyone know if there are any side affects, maybe after a couple of years, after having a labial frenectomy.? for example a droopy upper lip.. also if the frenum attaches the upper lip to the gums, then if that gets taken away wont the upper lip move in different directions when you talk.?Health Question & Answer
