Everybody needs a retainer AFTER they have them move your teeth
Teeth have memory, after time they will shift back to the way they are..
So let's say you had your teeth expand by a expander, you will have to wear a retainer becuase your teeth iwll move back if you dont..
Don't worry, tons of people get clear ones after braces.. I will need one afterwards.. For a long time.. But only at night..

Yes, for the rest of your life.. If you never put that pressure back on your teeth, they will shift right back.. Your teeth start to shift after 24 hours.. Not majorly, but slightly.. and they keep going back to original position.. Some people have a permanent retainer cemented to the lingual(back side) of there teeth to keep them in place, and some will just wear there retainer a Little through out the day or only at night when they sleep..Health Question & Answer
Yes you have to wear a retainer.. That's still the ending process of getting your braces and you need it to make your teeth straighter to help your teeth..
